Student Health & Well-Being
Any student attending Roaring Fork School District public schools is eligible for services provided by the Roaring Fork Family Resource Centers; however, a special emphasis is placed on students who are at risk in terms of health, behavior, and academic failure. The Centers assist students and their families in gaining access to health care and other community services by helping them to navigate complex health and human services systems. We work to ensure that the services received are integrated and coordinated, we provide transportation and translation if these are barriers, and we help families obtain funding for needed services when they do not have the means. Referrals are generally made by school personnel, other agencies, or through family self-referral.
Referral reasons might include:
- Medical, dental, vision and mental health needs
- Academic tutoring
- After school and summer activities
- Parenting classes
- Basic needs such as food, heating, warm clothes and transportation
- Family self-reliance
