Parent Education
Parent Workshops
Throughout the school year the Roaring Fork Family Resource Centers offer free one night parenting workshops. The workshops are held at schools in Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. There is no charge for the workshops and childcare is for a small fee.
Multi-Session Parenting Classes
Parenting with Love and Logic ®, a six-week parenting class designed to help parents raise respectful, responsible children, is held several times throughout the school year in Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. This popular class fills up quickly and is taught in English and Spanish.
Nurturing Parenting Program is a 15-week evidence-based course which combines information about child development and family dynamics with hands-on exercises to increase empathy and strengthen the parent-child relationship. Children attend their own group with age-appropriate curriculum.
